Hiking Basics

The all group hike is set for Sunday July 27th (weather permitting). We will be watching the weather closely at all times and may need to adjust hiking schedules accordingly.

The all group hike will be Mt Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado and the second highest peak in the continental US…. second only to Mt Whitney in California.

Mt Elbert sits at 14, 433 feet above sea level and is located in the Collegiate Peaks range just west of Leadville, Colorado.

huron 2014The optional hike will be Huron Peak on Saturday July 26th (weather permitting).

The optional hike is open only to those men that have attended and hiked at Peak Challenge in previous years. There are possible exceptions, but Peak leadership must agree to it.

Huron Peak sits at 14, 003 feet above sea level and is located in the Collegiate Peaks range just west of Leadville, Colorado.
